Man charged with felony theft
A Norwich man has been arrested in connection with theft of heavy machinery equipment.
Jeremy A. Crowell, 26, was charged July 9 with third-degree grand larceny, a felony, Chenango County deputies said in a media release. He was arrested in connection with the reported theft of equipment from a business in the town of Preston. Crowell was arraigned in Preston Town Court and released, pending re-appearance at a later date.
Area man accused of assault
A Pharsalia man has been accused of felony assault.
Ivon G. Miller, 34, was charged Friday on a warrant with second-degree assault, a media release for Chenango County deputies said. He was accused of hitting another person in the head with a metal pipe Tuesday, deputies said.
Miller was arraigned in Otselic Town Court and sent to Chenango County jail on $10,000 cash bail, pending appearance in Pharsalia Town Court at a later date.
