ONEONTA _ The Science Discovery Center at the State University College at Oneonta will be closed indefinitely as staff members complete repairs of damage caused by a broken water pipe in the physical science building. The center is expected to remain closed through the end of January.
More information about the Science Discovery Center is available from the center’s director, Dr. Hugh Gallagher of the SUNY Oneonta department of physics and astronomy, at 436-2011.

Drug "kingpin" arrested in Otsego County
The arrest of a major drug kingpin in Otsego County was announced today by Sheriff Richard J. Devlin Jr. and District Attorney John M. Muehl. Following a year-long investigation by a number of law enforcement agencies, Dante Darren Major, 35, of Hobart, was arrested for a number of drug felonies, Otsego deputies said.
