Burglar sentenced to probation

COOPERSTOWN _ In Otsego County Court on Monday before Judge John Lambert, Andrew V. McAdams, 21, of Edmeston, pleaded guilty to third-degree burglary and was sentenced to five years' probation, plus time served in jail. He also was ordered to pay $400 restitution, a $500 fine and $375 in court fees.

According to court records, the incident occurred in March in Worcester.

Also in court Monday before Lambert, Michael J. Hunt, 33, of Bainbridge, pleaded guilty to fourth-degree grand larceny.

According to court records, the incident occurred Feb. 1, 2007, in Morris.

Hunt was released on his own recognizance and is scheduled to return to court Dec. 21.

In Otsego County Court on Nov. 13 before Judge Brian Burns, Eric M. Manchester, 26, of Worcester, pleaded innocent at arraignment to charges of first-degree attempted assault and second-degree assault.

According to court records, the incident occurred April 14 in Worcester.

Manchester is free after posting a $30,000 bail bond and is due back in court Dec. 11.

Also in court Nov. 13 before Burns:

ä Andre Coley, 32, of Elmira, was sentenced to one year in jail for driving while intoxicated.

According to court records, the incident occurred May 30 in the town of Oneonta.

Coley was ordered to pay a $2,000 fine and $520 in court fees.

ä Wayne H. Gregory, 64, of Oneonta, pleaded guilty to second-degree attempted assault.

According to court records, the incident occurred Oct. 26, 2008, in Oneonta.

Gregory was released on his own recognizance and is due back in court Feb. 5.

ä Chad A. Ross, 29, of Unadilla, pleaded guilty to driving while intoxicated.

According to court records, the incident occurred Feb. 2 in the city of Oneonta.

On Wednesday, Ross was sentenced to five years' probation, a $2,000 fine and was assessed $520 in court fees, and his driver's license was revoked.

In Otsego County Court on Wednesday before Burns, Timothy A. Button, 22, no address available, was sentenced to five years' probation and was assessed $375 in court fees for third-degree burglary.

According to court records, the incident occurred April 14 in the city of Oneonta.
