A state registered Level II sex offender was arrested Wednesday for violating the corrections law, Otsego deputies said.

Aaron Michael Field, 25, with a Mount Vision zip code, was arrested for registered sexual-offender failure to notify of Internet Service Provider and e-mail address, a felony, deputies said.

The probation department learned of the possible violation and turned the matter over to deputies.

An investigation revealed that Field obtained Internet access through a local company and recently obtained a Gmail account but never registered this with the state Department of Criminal Justice Services Sexual Offender Registry as required, deputies said.

He was issued an appearance ticket to appear in Middlefield Town Court at a later date.
