Man charged in alleged cocaine sale

RICHFIELD SPRINGS _ A 19-year-old Herkimer man was arrested Thursday in connection with the alleged sale of cocaine in the village of Richfield Springs last March.

Richard J. Bo was arrested at his Herkimer County home on an arrest warrant from Otsego County. He had earlier been indicted by an Otsego County grand jury on a third-degree criminal sale of a controlled-substance charge. That sealed indictment was opened by Otsego County Court Judge John F. Lambert, and Bo was arraigned, deputies said.

He is accused of selling cocaine to another person in the village of Richfield Springs. Deputies did not release details on the amount of cocaine.

The sheriff's department had received complaints of drug sales in the village. Bo faces up to nine years in prison, deputies said.

He was sent to Otsego County jail on $25,000 bail to await further court action.
