Walton Town Supervisor John Meredith died Monday night, according to his family.
Meredith was at home with his mother when he became unresponsive. He died en route to Delaware Valley Hospital shortly after 9 p.m.
Meredith had been undergoing treatment for a brain tumor, and was scheduled for surgery Wednesday.
Meredith, 29, was unopposed for re-election. He was elected town supervisor in 2003, and also served as county budget director.
