Man pleads innocent to selling cocaine

COOPERSTOWN _ In Otsego County Court Sept. 28 before Judge John Lambert, Cory P. Tripp, 25, of Oneonta, pleaded innocent at arraignment to three counts of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, cocaine.

According to court records, the incidents occurred Jan. 8, Jan. 23 and March 11.

Tripp was jailed in lieu of $25,000 bail to await further court action.

Also before Lambert on Sept. 28:

ä Shawn Knapp, 32, of Dolgeville, was sentenced to 21/2-to-five years in state prison for third-degree criminal possession of stolen property, a 2003 Chevrolet Impala. He had pleaded guilty Aug. 31.

Knapp was ordered to pay a $325 surcharge and crime-victims' fee and a $50 DNA fee.

ä Andrew McAdams, 21, of Worcester, pleaded innocent at arraignment to charges of third-degree burglary and fourth-degree grand larceny.

According to court records, the incident occurred in March in the town of Worcester.

McAdams was jailed in lieu of $5,000 bail and is due back in court Oct. 19.

In Otsego County Court on Sept. 24 before Judge Brian Burns, Cody Barnes, 23, of Oneonta, was sentenced to two years in prison after it was determined he had violated the terms of his probation.

According to court records, on March 27, Barnes pleaded guilty to fifth-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, heroin, an incident that occurred Aug. 19, 2008, in the city of Oneonta.

At the time, he was sentenced to six months in jail plus five years' probation.

Court records state that Barnes violated his probation by not reporting to the county's Probation Office as required.

In court Sept. 24, Burns also sentenced Barnes to one year of post-release supervision.

In Otsego County Court on Sept. 23 before Burns, Kristofer Jeffers, 29, of Oneonta, was sentenced to five years' probation for driving while intoxicated.

According to court records, the incident occurred March 15 in Otego, and Jeffers pleaded guilty Sept. 18.

He also was ordered to pay a $2,000 fine, a $325 surcharge and crime-victims' fee, $25 DWI fee and a $170 supplemental DWI fee.
