An early-morning fire destroyed the Sidney Center United Methodist Church and a barn at a nearby site, a fire official said Thursday morning.
Investigators from the state Office of Fire Prevention and Control and the Delaware County Department of Emergency Services were at the scene, officials said.
Sidney Fire Department First Assistant Chief Gregory Peck said crews are still at the sites of the church on Main Street and at the barn in the town of Sidney, Peck said. No injuries have been reported, he said.
Firefighters from across Delaware County were called to help, Peck said.
