COOPERSTOWN _ In Otsego County Court Tuesday before Judge Brian Burns, a Unadilla man was convicted of two counts of driving while intoxicated.
Dana Britton, 30, was released on his own recognizance and is scheduled to be sentenced Oct. 16.
According to court records, he was charged with DWI on Sept. 20, 2008, in the town of Milford.
His trial began with jury selection Monday and concluded the next day.
In Otsego County Court Monday, Aug. 31, before Judge John Lambert, Shawn Knapp, 31, of West Winfield, pleaded guilty to third-degree criminal possession of stolen property.
According to court records, the incident occurred July 5, 2008, in the town of Middlefield, when Knapp was in possession of a 2003 Chevrolet Impala.
Knapp was jailed without bail and is scheduled to be sentenced Sept. 28.
Also in court Monday before Judge Lambert:
Paul A. Bitti, 29, of Queens, was sentenced to one-to-three years in prison for fourth-degree grand larceny.
According to court records, the incident occurred Nov. 30, 2008, in the town of Oneonta.
Bitti, who pleaded guilty Aug. 3, also was ordered to pay about $2,293 in restitution, and was assessed $375 in court fees.
Daniel A. Pedersen, 22, of Smithtown, pleaded guilty to fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, cocaine.
According to court records, the incident occurred Aug. 6 in the city of Oneonta.
Pedersen was sentenced to six months in jail and five years' probation, and he forfeited $15,000.
He also was fined $2,500, assessed $375 in court fees and his driver's license was suspended for six months.
