DELHI _ At a regularly scheduled meeting held Tuesday at the Delhi Central School District, the Board of Education appointed Roger Adams to serve as interim superintendent, according to a media release. His term will begin Monday.

Adams has served as interim superintendent at DeRuyter Central School and retired from Indian River Central Schools in 2006 after serving there for eight years.

He has more than 32 years of experience, the release said.

Adams lives in New Berlin.

The arrest of a major drug kingpin in Otsego County was announced today by Sheriff Richard J. Devlin Jr. and District Attorney John M. Muehl. Following a year-long investigation by a number of law enforcement agencies, Dante Darren Major, 35, of Hobart, was arrested for a number of drug felonies, Otsego deputies said.
