Drug, burglary cases in Otsego

COOPERSTOWN _ In Otsego County Court on March 27 before Judge Brian Burns, Cody L. Barnes, 23, of Oneonta, pleaded guilty to fifth-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, heroin.

According to court records, the incident occurred Aug. 19 in the city of Oneonta.

Barnes was sentenced to six months in jail and five years' probation. He was ordered to pay $180 in restitution and $375 in court fees.

Also in court March 27 before Burns:

ä Beth A. Zine, 36, of Oneonta, pleaded guilty to fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, cocaine.

According to court records, the incident occurred Nov. 26 in the city of Oneonta.

Zine was sentenced to six months in jail, five years probation and was ordered to pay $375 in court fees.

ä Piotro M. Pasciak, 21, of Worcester, pleaded innocent at arraignment to three counts of second-degree burglary.

According to court records, the incidents occurred in January and February in the town of Worcester.

Bail was sent at $7,500, but Pasciak is being held at the Herkimer County Jail on other charges.

ä Jeremy L. Dean, 27, of Davenport, pleaded innocent at arraignment to two counts of driving while intoxicated.

According to court records, the incident occurred Aug. 23 in the city of Oneonta.

Dean posted $350 bail and is scheduled to return to court April 8.

In state Supreme Court of Otsego County on March 30 before Justice Michael Coccoma, Jose M. Rodriguez-Rivera, 30, of Bronx, pleaded innocent at arraignment to third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, heroin.

According to court records, the incident occurred Dec. 16 in Oneonta.

Rodriguez-Rivera was jailed in lieu of $125,000 bail to await further court proceedings.

Also before Coccoma on March 30, Stacey R. Tarbox, 50, of Burlington Flats, pleaded innocent at arraignments to two counts of second-degree forgery and third-degree grand larceny.

According to court records, the incidents occurred in October and November of 2007.

She was released on her own recognizance and is scheduled to return to court May 14.
