WEST EDMESTON _ Pancake breakfasts will be served every Saturday in March at Ben and Judy's Sugarhouse at 770 Beaver Creek Road in the town of Brookfield, Judy Benjamin said Friday.
The first breakfast will be served this Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Breakfasts will cost $6 per person, with children younger than 5 eating for $4.
``We have new syrup available and lots of maple products, including maple cream,'' she said.
As the syruping season reaches its peak, the Benjamins will host breakfasts on Sundays, as well as Saturdays.
``We'll be serving on Sunday, March 22, and March 29, too,'' she said.

ONEONTA _ A Hartwick College student was arrested after sneaking into Today's Lounge and allegedly hitting a bartender, city police said.
Jill Caramello, 18, of Plymouth, Mass., was charged with third-degree assault, a misdemeanor, and trespass, police said.
According to a police report, she was accused of sneaking into the lounge after staff denied her access because she was underage. She allegedly hit a female bartender, whose nose was broken. Caramello was held after the 12:15 a.m. Thursday incident until she was sober.

BAINBRIDGE _ Firefighters put out a blaze in a garage at 12 Evans St. in the village on Wednesday afternoon, an official said.
The cause of the blaze at the building owned by Jeff Conover was under investigation, said First Assistant Chief Kyle Simpkin late Wednesday night. About 25 firefighters were at the scene of the 2 p.m. fire, he said, and the Bainbridge department was helped by Sidney crews, with Masonville and Afton on standby.

ALBANY _ A former town of New Berlin justice was appointed Thursday by Gov. David Paterson to an appellate court vacancy.
State Supreme Court Justice Elizabeth A. Garry, who was elected to the Sixth Judicial District in 2006, was appointed to fill a vacancy on the Appellate Division, Third Department, according to a media release from the governor's office.
Her salary will be $144,000, the release said, and the appointment is not subject to Senate confirmation.
The Appellate Division, Third Department, hears appeals directly from the Supreme Court, county courts, family courts, surrogate's courts and the Court of Claims, according to its website. It also often hears appeals from state agencies.
The Third Department includes Chenango, Delaware, Otsego and Schoharie counties.
Garry, a former New Berlin planning board member, was town justice from 2001 to 2006, and she worked at the Joyce Law Firm in Sherburne from 1995 to 2006.
In 2006, she became the second woman and first Democrat elected in the Sixth Judicial District, which includes Chenango, Delaware and Otsego counties.
