Drug cases heard in Otsego court

COOPERSTOWN _ In Otsego County Court on Friday before Judge Brian Burns, Kayshawn Simon, 21, of Brooklyn, pleaded guilty to fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, cocaine.

According to court records, the incident occurred June 16 in Laurens.

Simon is scheduled to be sentenced March 20.

Also in court Friday before Burns:

ä Andrew Wilson, 30, of Grahamsville, pleaded guilty to fourth-degree attempted criminal possession of a controlled substance, psilocybin. According to court records, the incident occurred March 25 in New Lisbon.

Wilson was released on his own recognizance and is scheduled to be sentenced March 20.

ä Michelle Slonaker, 23, of Mount Vision, pleaded guilty to fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, psilocybin.

According to court records, the incident occurred March 25 in New Lisbon.

Slonaker was released on her own recognizance and is scheduled to be sentenced March 20.

ä Shane Quackenbush, 24, of Oneonta, pleaded innocent at arraignment to two counts of driving while intoxicated.

According to court records, the incident occurred Sept. 21 in the city of Oneonta.

Quackenbush is in jail, no bail listed. He is scheduled to return to court March 6.

In Otsego County Court on Jan. 16 before Burns:

ä Troy Dunkley, 29, of Oneonta, pleaded innocent at arraignment to four counts of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, cocaine.

According to court records, the incidents occurred in September in the city of Oneonta and in October in the town of Oneonta.

Dunkley was jailed in lieu of $100,000 bail and is scheduled to return to court Jan. 30.

ä Zuman Ortiz, 22, of the Bronx, pleaded innocent at arraignment to two counts of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, cocaine.

According to court records, the incidents occurred Oct. 6 and Oct. 8 in the town of Oneonta.

Ortiz was jailed in lieu of $75,000 bail and is scheduled to return to court Feb. 20.

ä Joshua Mistler, 27, of Oneonta, pleaded innocent at arraignment to third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance.

According to court records, the incident occurred July 15 in the city of Oneonta.

Mistler was jailed in lieu of $75,000 bail and is scheduled to return to court Feb. 20.

ä Cody Barnes, 23, of Oneonta, pleaded innocent at arraignment to two counts of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, heroin.

According to court records, the incident occurred Aug. 19 in the city of Oneonta.

Barnes was jailed in lieu of $15,000 bail and is scheduled to return to court at a later date.

ä Carmine DeClemente, 21, of Oneonta, pleaded guilty to fifth-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, cocaine.

According to court records, the incident occurred March 6 in Oneonta.

DeClemente, who is free on $25,000 bail, is scheduled to be sentenced March 6.

ä Brian Drake, 26, of Cooperstown, pleaded innocent at arraignment to two counts of DWI.

According to court records, the incident occurred Aug. 9 in the village of Cooperstown.

Drake, who was released on his own recognizance, was scheduled to return to court at a later date.

ä Danajohn Britton, 29, of Unadilla, pleaded innocent at arraignment to two court of DWI.

According to court records, the incident occurred Sept. 20 in Milford.

Britton was released on his own recognizance and was scheduled to return to court at a later date.

In Otsego County Court on Jan. 14 before Burns:

ä Ashley Palmer, 21, of Oneonta, pleaded innocent at arraignment to two counts of second-degree forgery and fourth-degree grand larceny.

According to court records, the forgeries occurred Aug. 3 in the town of Oneonta, and the grand larceny occurred Aug. 2 in the town of Maryland.

Palmer is free on $2,500 bail, awaiting further court proceedings.

ä Guy Houck, 39, of Sidney, pleaded innocent at arraignment to two counts of DWI.

According to court records, the incident occurred June 5 in Unadilla.

Houck, who is in jail in lieu of $1,500 bail, is scheduled to return to court Feb. 25.
