ONEONTA _ State police are searching for the driver of a car involved in a three-car crash Tuesday night.
The first crash occurred at the intersection of state Route 28 and Main Street at about 10 p.m. when Miguel Short of Otego failed to yield his vehicle for one driven by Robert Harris of Edmeston, according to state police at Oneonta.
The two vehicles collided in the intersection, and a third vehicle driven by an unknown person then struck Harris's vehicle, troopers said.
A passenger in Harris's vehicle, Hope Chapman of Burlington Flats, was taken to A.O. Fox Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening knee, lower leg, foot and internal injuries, troopers said.
Chapman was not listed as a patient at Fox on Wednesday.
Short was ticketed for failure to yield, troopers said.
The car that fled was a red or dark-colored sedan with front-end damage, according to troopers and emergency radio traffic from Tuesday night.
