SUCO set to offer new education grad degree

ONEONTA "" Teachers will have an additional master's degree option at the State University College at Oneonta.

SUCO is offering a Master of Science in Education program in educational technology, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs F. Daniel Larkin recently announced. The college recently received approval from the state Education Department to offer the program.

The program is designed to provide certified elementary and secondary teachers with greater understanding of the teaching-learning process and to develop skills in using multiple technologies to enhance students' performance, according to a media release.

Applications for the program are available for the fall and spring semesters. The program will offer late-afternoon and night courses so that working teachers will be able to enroll, and undergraduate students who have earned initial licensure to teach may enroll in the program.
