Deputies seek spray painters

A $200 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of those responsible for spray painting silhouettes of presidential candidate Barack Obama in Andes and Bovina, Delaware deputies said.

Anyone with information should call deputies at 746-2336.

Deputy Kim Smith said that one or more people used red spray paint for the depictions _ one on the Bovina Highway Department building and three on sidewalks in Andes _ between the night of March 24 and the morning of March 25, when they were reported.

The two areas are well-traveled, she said, and people who might have passed by at the time probably didn't think anything of seeing a stopped car. There was nothing negative about Obama associated with the images, she said.

Kidney donor home from Boston hospital

Dominick Love, the Westford man who donated a kidney to his daughter, has been released from the hospital, his wife said in an e-mail Monday.

Dominick was released Sunday and is doing better, Jaime said. Their daughter, Cadence, 2, is recovering and has to drink more fluids than she is for her kidney, her mother said, and a release date from Children's Hospital Boston hasn't been determined.

Dominick and Cadence had surgery a week ago today. Cadence had a malformed kidney because she has Brachio-Oto-Renal Syndrome, a genetic disorder.

Jaime is posting updates on the CaringBridge website at www.caringbridge.org/visit/cadencelove.

Two injured as bus collides with car

Two adults were hurt when a school bus and car collided in the town of Worcester at about 4:10 p.m. Monday, state police at Oneonta said.

Car driver Shawna L. Whitehead, 24, and her passenger Jodi L. Clapper, 34, both of Charlotteville, had minor injuries and were taken to A.O. Fox Memorial Hospital in Oneonta by Worcester and Schenevus ambulances, troopers said.

Whitehead and Clapper were treated and released, a Fox spokeswoman said Monday night.

A child, the son of Clapper, was in a car seat and was uninjured, troopers said, and the women were wearing seat belts.

John C. Cambridge, 37, of Cobleskill, was driving on Roe Road in the town of Worcester, troopers said; he stopped at a stop sign, then tried to turn left onto Charlotteville Road, failing to see the approaching car. Cambridge, who was wearing a seat belt, was ticketed for failing to yield the right of way, troopers said. The adult passenger wasn't required to wear a seat belt.

The bus was from the Richmondville-Cobleskill Central School District and didn't have any children aboard, troopers said. Neither the driver nor passenger was hurt.
