Attendance at the Afton Fair, which runs through Sunday, is on track to match last year's total, an officer said Friday.
There were about 1,000 people in attendance Wednesday and Thursday, said Afton Fair and Agricultural Exposition Board of Directors President Dennis Fletcher. That was about the same as last year, he said.
"We're getting people on the grounds, and the weather is cooperating," he said.
With the stands filling up for Friday's return of the Afton Motor Speedway and popular attractions both Saturday and Sunday, he said he was hopeful the crowds would at least total about 8,000, he said.
