Since the beginning of the year, librarian Sarah Livingston has been conducting workshops on digital books. The response has been nothing less than amazing. We are pleased to announce that during February we will be conducting more classes both for beginners and for those of you who have already attended class and want to learn more.
Beginner Digital Books Classes
During this workshop you'll learn how to use our digital books service. This is a hands-on workshop. Participants should bring their laptop and be able to connect to a wireless Internet connection. This class will focus on laptop users, but anyone interested in learning may attend. Kindle class attendees do not need a laptop, but may bring their own if they prefer.
We will also cover the basic buttons and menus on your device. Please sign up for one time slot.
Classes are about 1 to 1½ hours long and registration is required. Call the library at 432-1980 or sign up in person for these classes. The schedule is as follows:

Digital Books Classes: eBooks Part Two
If you attended one of our classes in January and still need help or want to learn more, register for one of these sessions. The class will cover how to manually transfer files (both with Digital Rights Management and DRM-free), as well as how to play audio files on your eReader device. Need a refresher course? We will deal with any how-to questions you have and try our best to answer them. This class will not only touch on using your device with your digital library books, but also with other resources.
Preference will be given to those who have already taken a digital class from us to learn how to use the library service and to those who have been using the service successfully on their own. Please sign up for one time slot.
Classes are about one hour long, depending on questions. Call the library at 432-1980 or stop in at the front desk to register.
Registration is required.
Sessions are as follows: 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7; 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 11; 4 p.m. Monday, Feb. 13; 3 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 14; 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15; and 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16.
