---- — Referring to Ms. Knapp’s letter in The Daily Star, I agree that our local fire departments need all the help and support they can get. But I remind the writer that Mr. Mancuso lives a good 15 miles from West Oneonta and so that is not his local fire and rescue squad.
He did mention that he donates to his local fire and emergency services. I do, too, and I would not feel obligated to donate to a distant squad, especially if I felt I were being pressured.
Also, isn’t the last paragraph about leaving home early to get to work just a little smug?
