House of Reps could use a vacation

I'm amazed that once again they _ namely, the members of the House of Representatives _ voted to repeal the health care act. This makes the 33rd time. Why not use it as a starting point and make it better, rather then repeal the whole thing?

Why after 33 times do they feel as if they're doing something, and why are we paying them to keep doing it?

If you hired someone to paint your house or fix your car and they didn't do it right the first time, Lord knows you don't want to pay them again. Why do we, the American people, continue to pay them for the 33rd time? It's like watching a bad dog-and-pony show, where all they do is beat the pony. The one thing we have to look forward to is that in a few weeks they all go on vacation. God knows they've worked so hard to need one.

So please go, take an extra week or two on us. You really must need a break after 33 tries. God knows we do!

More signs needed by baseball camp

Well, the new skid marks are adding up out front of the Cooperstown Dreams Park. Does someone have to die before there will be signs letting new arrivals know that their destination is just ahead? How about a flashing caution light?

We don't have any problem installing four-way stop signs around Oneonta to help waste more gas. Maybe a little safety out on Route 23 might save a life.
