A few weeks ago, The Daily Star published a letter to the editor attacking the Salvation Army; alleging discrimination against homosexuals. I have been a financial supporter of the local Salvation Army for over 30 years. I know it does not discriminate against anyone needing help. It does an excellent job of providing for the less-fortunate members of society, and has done so for many decades without fanfare.
As a Christian organization, it believes in the Bible. The Bible does not support sodomy. I do not know of Mr. Meyering’s sexual preferences, that is his business alone. However, to attack a worthy Christian institute because it does not actively support sodomy is both outrageous and bigoted.
