Silver Creek development needs different housing

It is appalling that the Common Council approved a zoning change to allow Mr. May to build a very inappropriate development in the Silver Creek area. Apparently, the members who approved this are only interested in the money.

They have no consideration for the surrounding families who will probably encounter lower property values along with lower quality of life, all for the benefit of Mr. May.

I attempted to talk with Mr. May concerning an alternate development plan. We have heard from real estate agents that there is a need for quality one-level homes. I wanted to encourage him to build an appropriate number of quality one-level homes.

That could result in a nice neighborhood and simplify some of the horrible traffic issues he will probably have with his plan. He refuses to talk with me.

Where do you stand with this issue, Mr. Miller?

Daily Star editor ignores wealthy Democrats

One might wonder why editor Sam Pollak, in his whimsical look at being rich, just happened to choose Mitt Romney and Sheldon Adelson as your average run-of-the-mill rich guys. Since Sam seems to be a great fan of the Democrats, it's a wonder why men of wealth such as all the Kennedys, living and dead, John Kerry, who, along with Mrs. Kerry, outgun Mitt at least three-to-one in accumulated wealth. A host of other well-heeled Dems weren't mentioned.

Editor Pollak, why not just drop the pretense of putting out a source of daily news and just run an accounting of all the great accomplishments of our dear president.

Since the Obama gang hasn't accomplished zilch, your publisher will love the fact that your daily use of newsprint will be reduced by 99.8 percent.
