COMMENTING ON STORIES:

7. Accusations of criminal activity.
8. Content that is harmful to children and minors in any way.
9. References to any type of sexual activity and other private matters.
10. Random and inflammatory statements that are off topic.
11. Advertising of any kind.
12. Typing in all caps.

WE ENCOURAGE REASONABLE AND COURTEOUS COMMENTS THAT:

1. Create conversation on issues of interest and concern to fellow readers and local community members.
2. Express opinions and contrarian views.
3. Stimulate debate with respectful language.
4. Stay within the boundaries of these rules.

Becker has stood up to sex offenders

We are writing this letter in support of Judge Carl Becker.

We initially supported Judge Becker when he ran for his first term due to his promise to deal effectively and appropriately with pedophiles and abusers. We feel that he has lived up to this promise as the current Delaware County judge.

As a teacher and a social worker, we have seen firsthand the long-lasting effects abuse, especially child abuse, have on a person’s entire life. Judge Becker has consistently confronted the denial of these abusers and has forced them to bear the full burden of their crimes. We would like to urge the people of Delaware County to support Judge Becker in this upcoming election.
