Area health organizations have announced H1N1 flu, or swine flu, immunization clinics during December. The schedule is as follows:
Chenango County Health Department
Clinics are open by appointment only and are restricted to various population groups. Clinics will be held in the basement offices of the county office building in Norwich. For appointments or information, call 337-1660.
Dec. 10, 4 to 7:30 p.m.
This clinic is restricted to Chenango County residents who fit into one of the following four categories:
Health care workers and emergency personnel.
Parents or household contacts of infants younger than 6 months.
Healthy people ages 19 to 24.
People ages 25 to 64 with chronic medical conditions such as lung disease, asthma, heart disease, kidney or liver disease, neurological disorders, blood disorders, diabetes or weakened immune system.
Dec. 14, 2 to 6 p.m.
This clinic is restricted to Chenango County residents between 5 and 24 years old who are in good health.
Dec. 15, 10 a.m. to noon.
This clinic is restricted to Chenango County residents ages 6 months to 5 years.
Delaware County Public Health
Dec. 9, 4 to 6 p.m., Walton Fire Hall, West Street.
This walk-in clinic is open to Delaware County residents only. It is open to people ages 6 months to 64 years old. Health care workers, emergency medical workers with direct patient care, and pregnant women may also be immunized at this clinic regardless of age. Screenings will be conducted at the clinic to determine eligibility.

Department of Health
The Otsego County Department of Health has scheduled H1N1 clinics at the following area schools. Clinics are open to children ages 6 months to 18 years living in the school district, regardless of school attendance. Clinics are scheduled for 4 to 7 p.m. unless otherwise noted.
Thursday, Cherry Valley-Springfield Central School.
Dec. 9, Gilbertsville-Mount Upton Central School.
Dec. 12, Greater Plains Elementary School, Oneonta _ 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., for Oneonta, Milford and Schenevus school district residents.
Dec. 16, Richfield Springs Central School.
Jan. 6, Unatego Junior-Senior High School.
