---- — The Roxbury Rockets Science Olympiad Team placed second over-all at the Capitol Area Regional Tournament held at the Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk Central School on Saturday. The Rockets will now move on to the finals to be held at Syracuse University on April 12 and 13. The Roxbury B-team finished in fifth place.

The team will work to improve the 17 events from regionals and become proficient in an eight more events for states. The new will be Experimental Design, Food Science, Helicopters, Keep the Heat, Metric Mastery, Mission Possible, Rotor Egg Drop and Sounds of Music.
The team is coached by Fred Zimmerman, Jamie Kellerhouse, Jessica Boyer, Al Vigna, Joan Kemp and Jason Stevenson. Volunteer assistant coaches are Paul Gossen, Robert Titus and Roger Hickey.
