The Friends of Bassett's annual Pre-Gala Auction and Raffle has started.
Contributed by a range of regional businesses, restaurants and artists, items have been categorized into art, epicurean experiences, fashion and personal care, getaways, home and garden, out and about, sports and more and unique.
Proceeds will support radiology and imaging capital needs at Bassett Healthcare.
Silent auction items will be on display through Monday at Riverwood specialty shop on Main Street in Cooperstown.
An array of items will also be on display at the Bassett Clinic lobby Tuesday and Wednesday. Winning raffle tickets and pre-gala items will be awarded to the highest bidder at 5 p.m. Wednesday.
A silent auction will be at Bassett's New Year's Eve Gala at the Otesaga Hotel. All items will be available to the highest bidder. Items include a Robert J. Schneider oil painting, cocktails on The Otesaga's veranda, a green amber and sterling silver bracelet handcrafted in Poland, a two-night classic golf package for two at The Hotel Hershey, a Cub Cadet 726 TDE Snow Thrower, tickets for Colgate football and Syracuse basketball games; a variety of gift certificates; and the auction centerpiece.
A diamond necklace of five carats of Brazilian diamonds that have been set in 38 grams of 14 karat white gold valued at $6,600 has been donated by Herkimer Diamond Mines for the auction.
