The Oneonta Cosmetologists Affiliate recently observed National Beauty Salon Week by offering their expertise at the Upstate Home for Children. More than 20 children had their hair cut and styled by the Affiliate President Eileen Parks of Village Clip-Her, Richmondville; Pat Palmer of Pat's Place of Hair, Richmondville; Lynda Guntert of Lyn's Beauty Salon, Davenport; Sandy Hoffman of Hoffman's Beauty Salon, Oneonta; and Betty Stefanski and Anna Lasher of Cooperstown.

DELHI _ Five girls have been named as participants in the Delaware County 4-H Cherry Pie Bake-Off, to take place in November.
They are Estelle Tweedie, Barbara Popp and Thelma Tweedie of Walton; Helene Webb of Rock Royal; and Judy Vamosy of Stamford. These girls will not only bake a cherry pie to be judged, but will demonstrate the techniques of preparation.
The girl receiving the highest score at this final contest will represent Delaware County at the Eastern District Cherry Pie contest to be held in Albany in January.
Also taking part in the preliminary contest were Patty Palmer and Veronica Vamosy, Stamford; Edna Earl, Cannonsville; Jo Ann Neale, Rock Royal and Barbara Camp, Walton.
Prizes given for the six outstanding costumes at the Halloween party went to Kermit Conrow, Gordon and Richard Tyler, DeLancey; Edna Earl, Cannonsville; Jo Ann Neale and Helen Webb, Rock Royal.
