WORCESTER _ Preparations are under way for a club and community gala in 1985, a year-long celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Worcester Women's Club.
The club was organized in 1885 for the mental, moral, and social development of its members and cooperation with all interests for community betterment.
Officers are Mrs. Robert Spencer, president; Mrs. Harry Lewis, first vice president; Mrs. Cora Hilsinger, second vice president; Mrs. Melvin Ferguson, recording secretary; Mrs. Bernard Cerra, corresponding secretary; Mrs. Carmen Caizza, treasurer.

Oneonta's Sherm Decker, driving a MGA twin cam, averaged 70.5 mph to become one of six winners in a Lime Rock, Conn., meet.
The race was sponsored by the New York Region of the Sports Car Club of America. Decker beat Henry Van Dusen of Cobleskill in the meet.
