Dan Knight, engineering manager at Custom Electronics, gave a tour of the plant Friday as part of Industry Appreciation Day in Otsego County. Pictured at work was Shirley Carvin on a capacitator wrapping machine. The day also featured a luncheon with guest speaker Berdell G. Boss, of the Southern Tier Industrial Innovation Extension Service of Cornell University.

WORCESTER — Roger Ames, a senior at Worcester Central School, and Gail von Hahmann, a sophomore, have been accepted as members of the All-State Choir which will perform at the annual Music Educators Conference Dec. 2 through 5, at Lake Kiamesha.
Roger, a tenor, is planning to attend the State University College at Potsdam next year and will major in music. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Ames, Worcester.
Gail has also received top ratings in piano and voice. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Luther von Hahmann.
