SCHENEVUS _ The Schenevus Methodist Church on Sunday began a series of two morning worship services each Sunday through the summer.
Purposes of the dual service are to encourage attendance at church before spending the day out of town and to make possible a worship service before the heat of the day.
On a trial basis for four Sundays the services will be held at 8:30 and 11 a.m.
The Official Board of the Schenevus Methodist Church also took note of the sometimes very warm man's suit and has invited men to attend the services comfortably attired.
"Clothing does not make the worship," stated the pastor, the Rev. James B. Bartz, "and we should not be as particularly interested in outward appearance as we are inner condition."
Also, the church has invited all travellers in the area to pause in the friendly village of Schenevus to spend 45 minutes in worship to renew their spiritual and physical beings, he said.
