DOWNSVILLE _ The 100th anniversary of Downsville Lodge 464, Free and Accepted Masons, was observed with appropriate ceremonies last night.
The lodge was founded in 1859 with William G. White as first master. Records of the lodge were lost in a fire in 1878.
Milford M. Garrison, Downsville, was master of ceremonies at an anniversary dinner held in Downsville Central School. Welcome to the guests was by W. Bert Tompkins Jr., present master of the lodge.
An address was given by Nathan Turk, past grand master of New York State. Invocation was given and benediction offered by the Rev. Harlan Scott.
