DELHI _ Two of the seven chamber music concerts scheduled by the Roxbury Arts Group for historic places around the county will be in the Delhi area during this the third summer of the program.
The Music in Historic Places concert series begins July 7 with an 8 p.m. program at the St. James Church, Lake Delaware, town of Bovina, off Route 28.
Built in the Spanish Gothic style, the Episcopal church was constructed of Indiana limestone, slate and shale from local stone fences. It was commissioned by Angelica Gerry as part of a group of church buildings erected at the entrance to the Gerry's farm.
On July 28, at 8 p.m., another chamber music concert will take place at Delhi's United Ministries Church on the courthouse square. Organized in 1831, the church was built for $3,500 and is a fine example of Greek revival architecture.
