Reunion Weekend events at two local colleges kick off today with a golf tournament in Delhi and Fabulous First Fridays in Oneonta.
State University College at Oneonta
Reunion Weekend 2012 at SUNY Oneonta will run today through Sunday. In addition to gatherings, events and athletic competitions, the weekend will include presentation of the college's Alumni Association annual awards in recognition of outstanding contributions to the college.
Several downtown Oneonta events will be part of this year's festivities.
On Saturday afternoon, 1962 SUNY Oneonta graduate John Stoffolano Jr. will sign copies of his book, "Tonino: The Adventures of a Boy/Cricket from Boston's North End," from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Green Toad Bookstore.
Also Saturday, alumni dining downtown will receive discounts through a "Taste of Oneonta" event created in partnership with several restaurant owners, including SUNY Oneonta graduate Tim Johnson, proprietor of The Autumn Cafe. From 7 to 11 p.m., SUNY Oneonta graduates Joe and Jennifer Harkenreader will host Oneonta Alumni Night at Legends Bar and Grill.
Other weekend highlights include golf and tennis tournaments, shows in the college's digital planetarium, a tour of the college's Biological Field Station on Otsego Lake, a barbecue catered by Brooks and featuring WONY DJ Jonathan "Woody" Kaplan of the Class of 1999, and an alumni art exhibit coordinated by Tim Sheesley of the Class of 1977.
Receptions to honor alumni of specific years or decades, donors and special-interest groups, including alumni involved in Residence Life, the Center for Social Responsibility and Community, and the Oneonta State Emergency Squad will be held throughout the weekend.
A reception to honor the 50th Reunion Class of 1962 and recognize the winners of the annual Alumni Awards will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Eight awards will be presented.

State University College of Technology at Delhi
SUNY Delhi's Alumni Weekend will run through Sunday, featuring activities for all ages, including a Casino Night with more than $1,000 in prizes, a memorial golf tournament, a folk art exhibit and awards ceremonies to recognize outstanding Delhi alumni and the 70th anniversary of the college's nursing program.
Kappa Sigma Epsilon will host a memorial golf tournament and pig roast from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today at The College Golf Course at Delhi to benefit several college scholarship endowments, the Heart of the Catskills Humane Society and the SUNY Delhi Alumni Association. A silent auction will also be featured. All are welcome to participate. That night, a welcome reception and awards ceremony will be held in the Farrell Student and Community Center with the SUNY Delhi Alumni Association bestowing its annual awards of Distinction and Merit.
A full day of activities Saturday will include a presentation and luncheon in the Resnick Library to celebrate the 70th anniversary of SUNY Delhi's nursing program at 11:30 a.m. Guests may visit the Olive B. Price Special Collections Room for nursing and presentations will be made on Delhi's highly successful online RN to BSN program. Plans for the School of Nursing's new home in the soon-to-be renovated Sanford Hall will be revealed. A luncheon will follow at 12:30 p.m. in the Library Café.
Four of SUNY Delhi's standout athletes will be inducted into its Athletic Hall of Fame at 3 p.m. June 2 in the Clark Field House.
Saturday's festivities will culminate with Casino Night in the Farrell Center. Mentalist and entertainer Jim Karol will perform a floor show at 8 p.m. His performance will be followed by roving card tricks at the casino that will feature blackjack, craps and Texas hold 'em.
A series of folk art drawings by local artist Kenneth Stalter, a 1948 SUNY Delhi graduate, will be on display in the Farrell Student and Community Center throughout the weekend. Stalter will give a presentation at 4:30 p.m. Saturday. A Brooks BBQ dinner will follow at 5:30 p.m.
Alumni Weekend will conclude Sunday with a farewell breakfast buffet in MacDonald Hall dining center from 8 to 10 a.m.
