Coinciding with our websites redesign, we launched our new story comments feature through Disqus.

For the time being, our story comments feature will continue to have the ability to post comments anonymously. We reserve the right to require registration in the future using your name and verified email address.

Not all comments are deemed printable. Some are disqualified at the newspaper’s discretion for a number of different reasons. Please follow our Online Rules of Conduct at all times.

RULES OF CONDUCT:

We reserve the right to remove comments that are unacceptable, to wit:

2. Personal attacks. Explicit name-calling.
3. Harassing, harmful, vulgar, obscene and defamatory language.
4. Threatening statements or statements that suggest violence.
5. Hate speech of any kind.
6. Intolerant comments on religion, race, age, gender, sexual preference or disabilities.
7. Accusations of criminal activity.
8. Content that is harmful to children and minors in any way.
9. References to any type of sexual activity and other private matters.
10. Random and inflammatory statements that are off topic.
11. Advertising of any kind.
12. Typing in all caps.

WE ENCOURAGE REASONABLE AND COURTEOUS COMMENTS THAT:

1. Create conversation on issues of interest and concern to fellow readers and local community members.
2. Express opinions and contrarian views.
3. Stimulate debate with respectful language.
4. Stay within the boundaries of these rules.

1. Violating any of these Online Rules of Conduct.

Melissa and Jeremiah Gregory of Oneonta announce the birth of a son, Grant Johnson Gregory, born April 29 at A.O. Fox Memorial Hospital in Oneonta.

Grant Johnson weighed 7 pounds, 7.6 ounces, and was 19¾ inches long.

Grandparents are John and Luanne Brooks of West Exeter, and Dale and Kellee Gregory of Burlington Flats.

April 10: Born to Wendy Rockwell and Ryan Rockwell of Van Hornesville, a son, 9 pounds 1.1 ounces.

April 11: Born to Melissa Rumenapp and Kenneth Workman II of East Meredith, a daughter, 8 pounds, 7.8 ounces.

April 12: Born to Spring Piroha and James Curtin Jr. of Sidney Center, a daughter, 7 pounds, 8 ounces.

April 13: Born to Heather Bliss and Lysle Palmatier of Oneonta, a son, 8 pounds, 13 ounces.

April 14: Born to Kira Bivens and Walter Bivens IV of Downsville, a son, 8 pounds, 6.3 ounces.

April 30: Born to Donna and Richard Thomas of Walton, a daughter, 9 pounds, 2 ounces.

May 1: Born to Michelle McAdams, a daughter, 8 pounds, 7.7. ounces. (hometown and father's name withheld.)

May 1: Born to Stephanie Decker and Dennis Decker of Mount Vision, a daughter, 9 pounds, .05 ounces.

May 4: Born to Wendy Reid-Jackson and George Jackson of Walton, a daughter, 7 pounds, 15.4 ounces.
