The Honest Brook Music Festival will begin its 24th summer music season at 8 p.m. Saturday at 1885 Honest Brook Road in Delhi with the Claremont Trio.
The group will feature violinist Emily Bruskin, cellist Julia Bruskin and pianist Donna Kwong.
The group is the only piano trio to ever win the Young Concert Artists International Auditions and is the first winner of the Kalichstein-Laredo-Robinson International Trio Award.
The group will perform works by Mozart, Shostakovich and Brahms. It has recorded extensively, releasing a critically acclaimed Beethoven and Ravel album this year, a media release said.
Tickets to the concert are $25 for adults or $85 per season subscription.
Next up in the music festival will be 13-year-old pianist Anastasia Rizikov, who will appear 8 p.m. July 21, to perform works by Bach, Mozart, Liszt, Scriabin, Moszkowski, Chopin and Grieg.
The teen has performed solo concerts in major cities and won first place in numerous international competitions with a debut at Carnegie Hall, the release said.
She will be followed by Canadian cellist Soe Bae -- a winner of the Concert Artists Guild International competition -- and pianist Pei-Yoo Wang at 4 p.m. Aug. 5 with music from Beethoven, Piatti, Bae, Popper and Rachmaninoff.
The series finishes at 4 p.m. Aug. 12 with the Horszowski Trio of pianist Rieko Aizawa, violinist Jesse Mills and cellist Raman Ramakrishnan, who will play pieces from traditional to contemporary, as well as works by composers they have come in contact with during their musical careers.
