Two new exhibits will open with a reception from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Earlville Opera House Arts Center on Main Street in Earlville.
Refreshments and live music from Tumbleweed Gumbo will join the event, as well as arts activities for youths.
In the East Gallery, the photography of Kari O'Mara will explore the human body as a canvas in "Repulsing Attractions."
According the O'Mara's artist statement: "Using the body as a canvas, I abstract figures in a way that causes viewers to begin to become uncomfortable as I often feel. ... The goal is stop simply seeing the world as a whole and start truly examining our surrounding in fragmented detail."
Heejung Cho of Brooklyn is the featured artist in the West Gallery's "Urban Illusion."
She said her work "is about the relationship of our life with home and environment, and what it means to us. ... In my drawings and illustrations, the space I create becomes imaginary space, which holds emotional experiences."
The exhibits run through Feb. 25.
