8. Content that is harmful to children and minors in any way.

10. Random and inflammatory statements that are off topic.
11. Advertising of any kind.
12. Typing in all caps.

Open Eye Theater to host premiere of show

The Open Eye Theater will present the world premier of "Walking Toward America," a play by Sandra Fenichel Asher.

Performances will be at 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, May 26, and Thursday, May 31, through Sunday, June 3. A staging also will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 27, at the theater, 200 Stoneridge Road in Margaretville.

The play is based on the memoirs of Ilga Vice, the daughter of a Latvian Air Force officer who took his family on a 500-mile trek from Latvia to Germany at the end of World War II.

Open Eye performer Patricia Van Tassel will play Vice and 23 other characters in the one-woman drama.

Vice and Asher will be at the four Memorial Day weekend performances (Thursday through Sunday, May 27) for post-performance discussions.

Tickets are $18 for adults, $15 for seniors and $10 for youths up to age 25.
