The 39th annual Community Christmas Carol will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at First United Methodist Church, 66 Chestnut St. in Oneonta.
The concert will feature the church’s handbell choirs, Oneonta High School Brass Ensemble, the Pathfinder Village Ringers, vocal soloist Mary-Anne Ross, a cappella ensemble Syncopation and carols sung by the community.
The concert is free and open to the public, and a free-will offering will be taken. For more details, call 432-4102.
CANO to host
The Community Arts Network of Oneonta will present a Holiday Pop Shop from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday in the CANO Gallery at Wilber Mansion at 11 Ford Ave. in Oneonta.
The event will include more than 15 local artists selling handmade jewelry, glassware, pottery, leather, knits, soaps, candles, cards, printed T-shirts, fudge, specialty baked goods and more. There also will be children’s activities, live music and drinks.
Chamber singers to present concert
Oneonta’s Catskill Chamber Singers will present their annual Christmas concert — “Christmas in My Hometown: Songs of the Season” — at 4 p.m. Saturday at the First Presbyterian Church at 296 Main St. in Oneonta.
The show will include “O Magnum Mysterium,” composed by Thomas Luis da Vittoria; “Tu Scendi Dalle Stelle,” an Italian carol; “The Virgin Mary had a Baby Boy,” a Trinidadian folk calypso carol; and American composer William Billings’ “A Virgin Unspotted,” written in 1794.

Choir to perform two shows
“Dona Nobis Pacem,” a Christmas cantata, will be presented by the Jefferson Community Choir at 3 p.m. Sunday at Breakabeen Presbyterian Church and 7 p.m. at Jefferson United Methodist Church on Main Street in Jefferson.
The show is free and open to the public.
