The Voices of Cooperstown will present a holiday concert at 4 p.m. Saturday at Christ Church, at 46 River St. in Cooperstown.
A combined ensemble of community singers, professional soloists and musicians will perform Johann Sebastian Bach’s “Cantata 140,” “Wachet auf” and “Double Violin Concerto in D-minor,” as well as Jean-Baptiste Lully’s “Grand Motet” and “Exaudiat te Dominus.”
The concert will be conducted by Dan Foster and feature soprano Sabrina Manna, mezzo soprano Aleksandra Romano, Derrick Smith and Joshua Bouillon.
Foster is a frequent conductor, keyboardist and tenor soloist with other groups including Albany Pro Musica, St. Rose Camerata and Crescendo Berkshires. Foster recently made his Carnegie Hall debut leading Aoede Consort in the world premier of Vladimir Pleshakov’s choral music.
Manna also made her Carnegie Hall debut as a featured soloist with Aoede Consort. Romano was the Bard College Concerto Competition winner and 2009 and 2010, as well as a national semifinalist in the 2010 Classical University Competition. Smith has sung in Europe, South America, Great Britain and Scandinavia, along with the New York City Opera in Carnegie Hall. Bouillon is a recent graduate of the Eastman School of Music program.
