Night of Celtic music set in Earlville

The Earlville Opera House will present a double bill of Celtic music at 8 p.m. Saturday.

From the Old World — Ireland and Scotland — are Claire Mann on flute, whistle and fiddle, who will be joined by Aaron Jones on lead vocals, bouzouki, bass and guitar. Mann is an all-Ireland winner on whistle and finalist on fiddle. Jones was named Best Instrumentalist of the Year at the Scots Trad Music Awards in 2005

From the New World is RUNA, based in Philadelphia, with fresh arrangements of traditional songs.

According to a media release, RUNA plays a mix of “highly energetic and graceful acoustic melodies.”

Tickets are $20 general admission, $18 for EOH members and $15 for students.

The opera house is at 18 E. Main St. in Earlville. For more details, call (315) 691-3550 or go to www.earlvilleoperahouse.com.
