Theater to host Justice League
The Justice League, led by Darcy Gibson, will perform Bob Dylan’s 1966 double album “Blonde On Blonde” in its entirety at 8 p.m. Saturday at Oneonta Theatre, at 47 Chestnut St. in Oneonta.
Cocktail hour begins at 6, with doors opening for the show at 7. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 on the day of the show.

Tumbleweed to play Shire Pub
Tumbleweed Highway will play at 9 p.m. today at O’Neill’s Shire Pub — located at 123 Main St. in Delhi.
The group blends honky tonk, country, folk, soul and blues with acoustic roots, a media release said. The release said the band’s style is in the vein of Buck Owens, Waylon Jennings and Jerry Jeff Walker.

Play reading set for Saturday
The Smithy Center for the Arts will present a free reading of “Inherit the Wind” by Jerome Lawrence and Robert Edwin Lee at 7 p.m. Saturday at 43 Pioneer St. in Cooperstown.
The play focuses on the real-life circumstances of people involved in the Scopes Monkey Trial — a case exploring “the missing link” between science and religion, specifically the evolution of the human race.
Auditions for the next two readings in the “Pursued by a Bear Play-Reading Series” — “Charlie & the Chocolate Factory” and “The Children’s Hour” — will be at 7 p.m. Monday at the same location.

Hellcats to bring music to Walton
The third concert of Music on the Delaware’s 2012-13 season will feature the Hop City Hellcats at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Walton Theatre — 30 Gardiner Place in Walton.
Led by Randy Miritello of the Horseshoe Lounge Playboys, the group blends honky-tonk country with blues and rockabilly. Joining Miritello on guitar and vocals will be Ed Micheals on drums, vocals and harmonica; Jim Foote on guitar; and Ben Gross on upright bass.
