Oneonta Theatre show to recreate Woodstock

"The Woodstock Era Experience" will recreate performances of rock legends from 1967-69 at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Oneonta Theatre, 47 Chestnut St. in Oneonta.

The show will include live recreation performances originated by Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison, Jimi Hendrix, Grace Slick of Jefferson Airplane, Joe Cocker, Jerry Garcia, Roger Daltrey and more.

According to a media release, the show "captures the experience of being at a live concert from the greatest musical eras ever. Audiences feel like they have just attended a 'Summer of Love Festival' concert."

Tickets are $20 in advance and $30 for advance gold circle.

Before the theatre hosts a throwback to the 1960s, it will host Fuel at 8 p.m. Saturday.

The rock band scored a trio of top 5 singles in the late 1990s and early 2000s with "Shimmer," "Innocent" and "Hemorrhage (In My Hands)." The group came onto the music scene with its 1998 debut "Sunburn."

The group sold out tours worldwide, headlining venues and opening concerts for Aerosmith, Kid Rock, Creed and 3 Doors Down.

Fuel's latest album is "Angels & Devils."

Tickets for this show are $15 in advance and $20 the day of the show. For those going to the 7:30 p.m. July 11 Filter concert, tickets for both shows together are $30. For more information, go to www.oneontatheatre.com.
