The Cooperstown Lakefront Concert Series will open with The Meishlundy at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Lakefront Park, which has an entrance on Lake Street in Cooperstown.
The Laurens band plays rock music, adding in electric fiddle, saxophone and flute to its three-part vocal harmonies. Hungry for Music will collect instrument donations for underserved children.
The rest of shows in the series also are at 7 p.m. on Tuesday nights. The schedule is:
"¢ July 10: Cooperstown Community Band, playing shows tunes, marches and traditional band music.
"¢ July 17: The Barefoot Boys, playing folk music.
"¢ July 24: Council Rock, playing classic rock.
"¢ July 31: So-Lo, playing bluegrass and blues.
"¢ Aug. 7: Cooperstown Community Band.
"¢ Aug. 14: Just Throw Money, playing classic country and folk tunes.
"¢ Aug. 21: Jonny Hirsch Band, playing rock, funk and jazz.
"¢ Aug. 28: Autumn Rum, playing a mix of genres.
