The Chenango County Council of the Arts will present Kaleidoscopica, a music and dance collaboration featuring Cordis and LehrerDance, at 7 p.m. Saturday.
The show will be at 27 W. Main St. in Norwich.
For more than a decade, contemporary quartet Cordis has been fusing custom-made and traditional ethnic instruments.
The ensemble is built upon the cello, played by Jeremy Harman; concert cimbalom, played by Richard Grimes; Oscar Rodriguez; and Andrew Beall on percussion.
These classical instruments are joined by the electric mbira, melodica and the world's largest playing cylinder-driven music box.
LehrerDance will join Cordis, bringing director Jon Lehrer's choreography and style to the stage.
Lehrer has an extensive background in both modern and jazz dance.
According to a media release, he work is "organic, artistic, accessible and often humorous, reflecting life experience and the human condition."
Dance Magazine said of the troupe: "LehrerDance took the house not so much by storm as much as quantum physics.
Jon Lehrer's strikingly original choreography transformed the stage into an energy field of super-charged particles."
The performance will include a blend of athletic and theatrical contemporary dance, multimedia elements and cirque-type acrobatics and effects.
Tickets range from $20 to $25, with discounts for seniors and Arts Council members.
Those 18 years old and under are $10.
