Bomb threat causes lockdown at Worcester Central School

A written bomb threat was found at Worcester Central School today, prompting a lockdown and a search by state police.

It is the second bomb threat in the last three school days at Worcester. A similar note was found Friday, and the school was evacuated and night basketball games were canceled.

Troopers said the note found Tuesday read: “Everyone will die, bomb in school.”

Four state troopers responded to the school at about 10:40 a.m. The school went into lockdown and was cleared within about an hour and a half, troopers said.

No one was in any danger, they said.

The investigation is continuing, and no arrests have yet been made in either incident, troopers said.

The school also went into lockdown in January because of a vague threat bomb threat found in a bathroom.
