Richard and Diana (VanNorstrand) Picolla were married on Aug. 11, 1962, at Holy Trinity Church in Poughkeepsie. Officiating was Father George Phillips.
The couple have four children, Joseph (Michelle) of Leesburg, Va., Deborah Lally (Thomas) of Chenango Forks, John (Brenda) of Fuquay-Varina, N.C., and James (Tamatha) of Sauquoit. They also are proud grandparents of eight grandchildren.
Both Richard and Diana worked as educators in Oneonta, Otego and Laurens, for many years. They are now retired and live in Bradenton, Fla., for most of the winter months. Together, with all family members, the couple celebrated their anniversary for a week at Sandbridge Beach, Va.
